Keratin or cysteine?
Keratin fully straightens the hair. Cysteine relaxes the curl and calms frizz while your hair keeps its natural body and movement, so it suits anyone who wants hair that looks naturally smooth rather than pin-straight.
Your stylist will help you decide which one fits your hair type, texture and the result you want, and a consultation first lets them set the right treatment strength.
Hair botox conditions rather than straightens
Hair botox works like a filler for the hair: proteins, amino acids, vitamins and conditioning agents fill the gaps and broken areas in each strand, leaving it thicker and fuller. It does not change your hair's structure or its natural texture, and it is popular for thinning, damaged or over-processed hair. It reduces frizz, but it will not make hair straight.
Rebonding, straight until it grows out
Rebonding is the permanent option. The natural bonds in the hair are broken and reset straight, using professional-grade solutions and flat ironing, and the result lasts until your hair grows out.
We always recommend a detailed consultation before rebonding, to look at your hair's condition and any past chemical treatments, and regular deep conditioning and hair spa treatments afterwards.
For Mumbai's monsoon frizz
Keratin suits frizzy, hard-to-manage hair, especially through Mumbai's humid monsoons. Glory has offered keratin treatments since they first arrived in India, and our stylists work with every hair type, from fine and wavy to thick and curly.
If you are having keratin or another chemical treatment, adding Olaplex protects your hair during the process.

Is cysteine better than keratin?
Neither is right for everyone. Keratin fully straightens the hair; cysteine is gentler, relaxing the curl and taming frizz while keeping natural body and movement. Your stylist helps you choose by hair type, texture and the result you want.
How long does each treatment last?
Keratin 3 to 6 months and cysteine 4 to 5 months, depending on hair type and care. Hair botox lasts 2 to 4 months, and rebonding until your hair grows out.
Does hair botox straighten hair?
No. It is a deep-conditioning treatment that does not change your hair's structure, though it reduces frizz significantly.
Is rebonding permanent?
Yes. It lasts until your hair grows out.
Do I need a consultation first?
We recommend one, so your stylist can assess your hair and recommend the treatment and its strength. Before rebonding, a detailed consultation also looks at your hair's condition and its history of chemical treatments.
Can I have Olaplex with keratin?
Yes. We add Olaplex to keratin and our other chemical treatments to protect your hair during the process.

Smoothening is a word used for treatments that smooth the hair and tame frizz. At Glory those are keratin, which fully straightens the hair, and cysteine, which smooths it while keeping its natural body and movement. Rebonding is the permanent option, and your stylist helps you choose.
